Director Meera Kathiravan ho began his carrier with one of the finest writers of our times, the late Lohithadas. For the same reason, the Lohithadas stamps are all over Aval Peyar Tamilarasi – a rare kind of a love story set in the rural backdrop of Tirunelveli,. Its boy meets girl as usual. The boy here is Jai while the girl is debutant Nandhagi. They fall in love, but doubts and insecurities creep in when the girl is all set to leave her village to pursue higher education. What happens to their love story, how does the boy react to the upcoming separation? That forms the core of Aval Peyar Tamilarasi .The treatment of the story stands apart and the smooth narration deserves a special mention.........
